On the 8th day of Stitchmas, Kaity shared with me, some of her favorite small local businesses you can support this holiday season! Supporting small businesses is always important, but especially this time of year, and they will definitely appreciate your support! Here's my three picks for some great places to spend your money!
Roan Mills is one of my favorite places here in my hometown of Fillmore! If you want some delicious baked goods, all locally grown, milled, and baked, make a trip to Roan Mills! They sell at lots of farmers markets in the LA area, and also in their brick and mortar location in Fillmore, open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7am-4pm.
2. Superbuzzy
If you are a knitter, crocheter, sewer, quilter, or general craft enthusiast who lives in the Ventura County area, you already know about Superbuzzy! It's my favorite fabric shop, and the owner Kelly is so sweet! It's always a great experience when I swing by, and I always find everything I'm looking for... and then some!
I was lucky enough to discover Chivas a few years ago when they had an open house event at their goat farm just outside of Fillmore, and it was such a fun time! They are a mother-daughter owned small family business, and they make great skin care products. I've gifted their soaps before, and I have bought a few things for myself over the years. They are an adorable business I love to support and tell people about!
