Happy Stitchmas Day 23!

Merry Christmas Eve-Eve! I know we've posted a lot of resources for you to make gifts and prepare to give things to others, but now that the big day is just a few days away, it's time to focus on you!

There are lots of ways to take care of and treat yourself, especially right now! Settle in with a cup of hot chocolate and watch a fun movie, eat some Christmas cookies (you deserve them!), or cozy up with a book and take an afternoon off!

This was my Christmas Eve Cast On from a few years ago, I started my Sunset Highway sweater!

My favorite way to treat myself is with my Christmas Eve Cast On! The hashtag #christmasevecaston trends nowadays on Instagram, and they way I interpret the prompt is to cast on a project on Christmas eve that feels like a treat. A guilty pleasure project, where you can forget any of your other knitting or crocheting responsibilities, and just have fun with it! You could use some yarn you've been saving and knit up a fun hat or pair of socks, or you can cast on for that sweater you've been wanting to make! The point is, don't worry about the other projects on your needles or hooks, and start something that feels like a treat to you!

This year, I'm casting on for a sweater I've been wanting to make for a while, called Le Pouf by Beata Jezek. I've got my yarn picked out, and today I'll wind it all up and swatch to figure out what needles I need, so that tomorrow I can cast on and have fun with it!

What are you going to make for your Christmas Eve Cast On?
