This cowl is worked flat throughout the knitting, blocked, and then seamed. The pattern includes a schematic for blocking and written instructions for seaming along with a diagram.
It looks lacy, but uses lots and lots of mini-ICords and cables to achieve this effect.  A M2 increase creates shaping at the beginning of the RS rows.
It was designed to highlight the shifting colors of a gradient yarn cake, and is worked on a circular US 4/(3.5mm) needle, though any fingering weight yarn will do. I
