Kaity Von Rader-Fraker

Skill Level

Level 3

If you are looking to take your Fair Isle knitting to the next level, this sweater is for you. You’ll knit the cardigan completely in the round from the bottom up, and at the end, you’ll take a good pair of scissors to your work and cut the pullover into a cardigan using a technique called “Steeking”. I promise, it’s not as scary as it sounds! Join us for the thrill!

NOTE: To learn how to Steek your finished sweater, you will need to sign up for Anne’s “Intro to Steeking” class. Anne and Kaity have collaborated on sharing the teaching of this sweater class. Kaity will teach knitting the sweater, and in Anne’s class, she will show you how to steek it.

Skills Required:

You know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, at least one increase and decrease, are comfortable knitting in the round and understand general knitting abbreviations.
