Let’s make a custom stocking to hang for the season. With a little pre-planning, we will use the colorwork skill of stranded knitting to make a stocking specially crafted for the person whose name is stitched at the top, from classic holiday motifs to the extremely obscure and unique (imagine the range from Santas to 20 sided dice). This project will be a great way to try out both the color technique and basic sock construction. Skills Required: You must know how to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, increase, and decrease, AND YOU MUST HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE ROUND WITH EITHER DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES, 2 CIRCULARS, OR “MAGIC LOOP”
