Crewel embroidery is a form of needlework that is stitched in a 2-ply worsted wool, which sets it apart from standard embroidery that uses primarily cotton. The loft that wool adds to your stitches gives it a raised texture. In this class we will focus on learning several decorative stitches on a panel of Linen that can be used later in pillows, or framed as an art piece. We will explore the foundation of
embroidery sts and how they apply to crewel work.
PLEASE NOTE: We will be working from kits that will need to be ordered online. When considering this class, please allow yourself time to order your supplies listed on the handout.
